Scope of Work: This project took a slightly DIY’ed newer construction home from boring and cold to warm and inviting. This renovation touched the shared living spaces and included refinishing floors, removing some architectural details, reconfiguring the fireplace, paint and new decorative lighting throughout. What was once a blue and grey 2000’s flip is now a warm, inviting and timeless space. We reworked the fireplace layout, added custom built ins, refinished all of the hardwood flooring, painted, incorporated new window treatments and sourced all new furniture and lighting.

The Impact: This project supported THIRTEEN local craftsman/businesses during the construction process, FIVE handmade artisan lighting vendors and ELEVEN small makers. SIXTEEN vintage pieces in this project were used. EIGHT of these businesses are women-owned.

A cozy front piano room, painted in a shade 25% darker than the rest of the home, makes for a cozy place to lounge.
The new fireplace wall is flanked by custom white oak built ins and a custom calacatta marble fireplace surround.
This eat in breakfast nook sits right next to two rooms that feature bold colors. We decided to take a step back and keep things tonal and minimal. Featuring a custom commissioned art piece by Abbey Ratcliff.
